Um…

Ok, so Jamaica just won the 100m mens relay in world record time. Without sounding too much like a member of their PR team or worse still, a paid Chinese cheerleader, I just want to say what a pleasure it’s been witnessing these boys push the boundaries of human ability. Of course Bolt was there doing his thing but I was really happy to see Asafa Powell take it home for the team. He managed not to crack under the pressure and ran one of his best races ever. Powell shouldn’t be forgotten in the wake of Bolt’s bolt to stardom (hehe..) as he’s always been one of the good guys of the track and definitely no slouch at his best. The Olympics is pretty much over for me now. All this amazing running makes me wish I took up athletics at a young age so I could grow up to become Australia’s next Tamsyn Lewis*.

*If you happen to be from abroad, Lewis is a shithouse runner and a cry baby.
